WATCH: Beluga Whale playing fetch with SA rugby ball at South Pole

A South African built boat called the Gemini Craft is currently at sea in the South Pole and according to Good Things Guy, the crew on the boat is made up of South Africans. It is reported that the guys took a rugby ball with them as a lucky charm for the Rugby World Cup.

"While out at sea, the guys met a Beluga Whale who has a love of rugby just like them and the whale proved to be a pretty great catch after an unlikely game of rugby was started on the boat. One of the guys threw out a rugby ball, and the Beluga swam out, caught it and brought it back.

This started a game of catch that has everyone in awe and the video is quickly going viral!

Beluga Whales are highly intelligent, playful and have even mastered how to swim backwards. They are highly interactive with their own species as well as many other species they encounter," according to Good Things Guy.
