WATCH: Arnold Schwarzenegger invites you to “Come with me if you want to live.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger

The 73-year-old former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has received his first COVID-19 dose at LA's Dodger Stadium - he is now on a mission to encourage others to get inoculated.

After receiving his jab the Hollywood action hero posted a video on Twitter of himself getting the shot in his famous bicep at the drive-through vaccination site on Wednesday. He wrote, "I have never been happier to wait in a line. If you're eligible, join me and sign up to get your vaccine." He thanks the medical attendant administering the shot and goes on to say, "Alright, I just got my vaccine, and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone. Come with me if you want to live." Yes, that famous quote from The Terminator.

According to the LA Times, the drive-through vaccination site is proving to be extremely successful: “ The cars line up next to where syringes are filled on small rolling carts. One by one, workers wearing face shields bend down to talk to the drivers through their open car windows about the vaccine they’ll be given. The patients are jabbed with the shot while still buckled in and 15 minutes later, most are cleared to leave and drive off."

They are currently vaccinating about 3, 000 people a day, their goal is 12,000 a day.

Mayor Eric Garcetti told the publication, “This site will move us closer to a day we can’t wait to wake up and hear about. A day when we record zero deaths here in Los Angeles.”

The city is aiming at vaccinating 20,000 people per day with the help of additional sites, including fire stations.
