WATCH : Alec Baldwin named in wrongful death lawsuit

The husband and family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, tragically killed on a movie set by a gun discharged by the actor, are suing Baldwin and the movies’ producers.

The lawsuit was filed in New Mexico in the name of Hutchins' husband, Matthew Hutchins, and their son, Andros, at a Los Angeles news conference.

 42-year-old Hutchins was shot dead in October last year while filming the western, Rust, in New Mexico. Baldwin claims he was told the gun was safe and that it fired without him pulling the trigger.
