Kelly McGillis was a drop-dead 29-year-old gorgeous blonde with impossibly good legs, a perfect foil for the rugged good looks of a then 23-year-old Tom Cruise when the original Top Gun movie was released in 1986.
Fast forward to the year 2019, and the highly anticipated sequel is due in cinemas soon with Tom Cruise reprising his famous role as LT Pete "Maverick" Mitchel.
Prior to shooting beginning, and now that the movie is about to hit cinemas worldwide, the question has been raised yet again, as to why Kelly M,cGillis is not in the sequel.
Kelly, who has shunned the public eye for many years now, spoke to Entertainment Tonight to share her candid thoughts on why she feels she was not asked to appear in Top Gun: Maverick.
