Trio do South Africa proud at Grammy Awards

Zakes Bantwini, Wouter Kellerman, and Nomcebo Zikode have scooped the Best Performance in the Global Music category with their hit song 'Bayethe' at this year's Grammy Awards.

This is Kellerman's fourth Grammy, while it's a first for both Bantwini and Zikode.

They took to social media in celebration of their prestigious win.

Bantwini said: “Took me 17 years to find my path, I have no words to express the emotions and grace that have come over me. This moment is owed to my late Mother & Father. I’m grateful Unkulu’ Nkulu uNumber 1!!!!”

Kellerman wrote: “We won the Grammy for the Best Global Music Performance for our song ‘Bayethe’ Thanks so much to everybody for all the support - this is for the whole of South Africa! Awesomeness.” He also shared their big moment on Twitter.
