Twitter was abuzz with tributes on Thursday for legendary broadcaster, Jerry Springer, who has died at the age of 79.
Author, Toni Tone tweeted: “Oh my goodness. Rest in peace to the King of chaotic talk show guests. Whether you watched his show or not…you knew about it!”
According to an online biography, Gerald Norman Springer was a British-born American broadcaster, journalist, actor, producer, lawyer, and politician.
He served as the 56th Mayor of Cincinnati between 1977 and 1978 but was best known for hosting the "chaotic" tabloid talk show until July 2018.
Tributes also came in from radio stations and television networks in the US.
