Trevor Noah hosts history making 2021 Grammys

Trevor Noah, this year's Grammys host

Compered by Mzansi's own Trevor Noah, and airing live from in and around the Los Angles Convention Centre Sunday, music’s biggest night saw history being made by Billie Eilish, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Eilish became the first soloist this century to win Record of the Year two years in a row, while Beyoncé became the performing artist with the most career Grammy wins after picking up accolades for best R&B performance for Black Parade, best music video for Brown Skin Girl and best rap performance and best rap song for Savage - her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Watch our Trev in action as he stops a somewhat bemused Beyoncé.

Beyoncé now has 28 Grammy wins to her name. Another record was broken Sunday night when her daughter Blue Ivy Carter became the second-youngest winner ever, at 9-years old when the mother-daughter duo won Best Music Video for "Brown Skin Girl."

Taylor Swift’s win of Album of the Year, for her surprise record, Folklore, is also history-making as she goes into the record books as the first woman in Grammys history to win the award three times, having previously won with 1989 and Fearless.
