The 81-year-old 'Queen of Rock 'n Roll' has become the latest musician to sell the rights to their music after closing a deal with music giant BMG.
The company took to Twitter to announce the news and reported to the media that Tina Turner has given them control of her share of her recordings, her publishing writers share, her name, image, and likeness.
Turner's back catalog includes iconic hits such as What's Love Got To Do With It, GoldenEye, and the evergreen hit Simply The Best, as well as 10 studio albums, two live albums, two soundtracks, and five compilations.
BMG said they were “proud to announce it has acquired an extensive portfolio of rights in the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, one of the greatest and best-loved artists in popular music history.”

The American-born Swiss has lived in Switzerland for many years and in 2013, it was announced that she had applied for Swiss citizenship, thus relinquishing her US citizenship.
Turner has been married to German music executive Erwin Bach, who is over sixteen years her junior, since July 2013. They married in a civil ceremony on the banks of Lake Zurich after having been together for 27 years.
