Still a household name across South Africa, 66-year-old Anneline Kriel is clearly living her best life on a tropical island far away from the glare of the paparazzi.
Active on Twitter, she recently launched a new Instagram account posting a video montage of herself ‘then and now. With an Instagram description that reads, “ “Former Miss World 1974, actress and model. I am a wife and mother who loves animals. I now live on a tropical island,” it looks like the former beauty queen has found her place in the sun. Anneline married her husband, 74-year old businessman Peter Bacon, 25 years ago and they moved to Mauritius over a decade ago.
In a recent interview with Huisgenoot magazine, the former beauty queen and model put her gracious aging down to inner contentment. She also told the publication that although being Miss World was a wonderful experience, having the media invade her privacy had always been a challenge.
