The Rolling Stones have released a track that was first recorded in 1974, titled 'Scarlet'.

The track features, Jimmy Page, the guitarist and founder of the rock band Led Zeppelin and the multi-talented musician Ric Grech.

It follows the success of  'Living In A Ghost Town' and will feature on the upcoming Rolling Stones’ album release, 'Goats Head Soup 2020'.

With its layered guitar textures, 'Scarlet' is a holy grail for any Rolling Stones fan.

Mick Jagger says that he, "remembers jamming to this with Jimmy and Keith in Ronnie’s basement studio. It was a great session."

Keith Richards added, "My recollection is we walked in at the end of a Zeppelin session."

"They were just leaving, and we were booked in next and I believe that Jimmy decided to stay."

"We weren’t actually cutting it as a track, it was basically for a demo... just to get the feel of it, but it came out well."

In addition to the previously unrelease track, 'Scarlet',  'All The Rage' and 'Criss Cross', will also feature as two unreleased track on 'Goat Head Soup 2020'.

The album will be released by Universal Music as a multi-format and a deluxe edition, in September.
