The Daily Show picks up seven Emmy nominations

This is the most nominations the late-night series has picked up since SA’s Trevor Noah became the host of the Comedy Central show back in 2015.

Noah took to Twitter to thank those involved for the "incredible honor".

This marks the show’s fifth consecutive nomination in the main late-night category, and the question on everyone’s lips – will  Oliver, who has won six years in a row, do it again?

Noah is currently on the North American leg of his Back to Abnormal World Tour.
