While we lesser mortals were left thinking that Meghan Markle was lounging around in royal luxury during her maternity leave, she was, in fact, curating content with British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful to create a special September issue for the famous magazine.
For the past seven months, it seems, she has been working with the Vogue staff to pull off this special edition which sees her having handpicked 15 women whom she deems to be global game-changers. Hence the issue has been named “Forces for Change”.
A sneak peek of the cover has been posted on the Sussex Instagram account. Take a look right here and see if you recognise anyone. From a ballet dancer, a young environmental activist to 81-year-old Jane Fonda, it’s an interesting list. Oh, and by the way, YOU feature too.
The blank space on the cover says Meghan Markle, is representative of every woman, as she believes that every woman has the power to be a game-changer no matter her circumstances.
According to Britain’s Daily Mail, Meghan had been asked to appear on the cover but she felt that it would appear too “boastful” and so they decided to do something altogether different that would highlight the "power of the collective." The tabloid also went on to say that criticism has been levelled at the Duchess for citing maternity leave as the reason for not meeting President Trump on his visit to Britain, and yet she had been working all along.
Take a look at the cover and the lsit of females who made the cut!
