The prestigious African Muzik Magazine Awards committee has announced their nominees for 2020 and right up there with a leading number of awards is Mzansi’s Master KG.
The runaway success of his single Jerusalema during the global lockdown has seen him amass a huge international following.
Most recently Master KG became the first African artist to top the Shazam Global Chart. Jerusalema has charted in 35 countries on Shazam, reaching the top spot in nine of them – SA, France, Italy, Romania, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Bulgaria and the Netherlands.
KG took to Instagram to announce the good news that he has been nominated in the following categories :
Best Male Southern Africa
Afrimma Video of the year
Song of the year
Best Collaboration
Artist of the year
He then asked for his followers to vote for him saying, "Please visit http://Afrimma.com let's bring these awards home"
The AFRIMMA Awards was created to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.
