Picked up by the UK’s widely read Daily Mail, the Sunday Times article was scathing in its criticism of Prince Harry’s speech as a keynote speaker at a gathering in honor of Nelson Mandela Day.
The choice of the prince at the UN event in New York City by the Nelson Mandela Foundation was greeted with derision by many around the globe, but most notably by Editor at Large Aspasia Karras.
According to the report, Harry used his 15-minute speech to “lecture a sparse crowd on climate change, disinformation, the war in Ukraine, COVID and Roe vs Wade.”
The widely read columnist went on to say: “He's in exile. Just like Madiba. No, sorry, of course, he was imprisoned for 27 years on Robben Island. Same, same-ish. Harry is imprisoned in his gilded pleasure palace in Montecito with a podcast schedule and documentary team following him around.”
