Stuntman Alex Harvill dies at 28 attempting to break world record

Tragically dead at 28 - Alex Harvill


Motorcycle stuntman Alex Harvill, 28, died Thursday while practicing for a Guinness world record jump at the Moses Lake Airshow in Washington.

He was attempting to break the record for longest motorcycle ramp jump before crash landing into a dirt mound. The jump required Harvill to land past the current record of 351 feet. According to TMZ he crashed just shy of the landing dirt mound and tumbled off his bike during a practice run.

The Grant County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Harvill had died after being taken to the hospital. The Grant County Coroner's Office will be conducting an autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of death.

The stuntman still holds the Guinness World Record for the Longest Dirt To Dirt Motorcycle Ramp Jump with a distance of 297 feet.

Harvill is survived by his wife Jessica and children Willis, 5, and four-week-old son Watson Robert.
