What would have been a "six-month documentary film" has turned into a 3-year journey that began with Bonné de Bod and Susan Scott selling their homes, moving back in with their parents and giving up three years of their lives to uncover the truth behind the rhino horn war.
Bonné de Bod is a wildlife television presenter, best known for her time spent on your screen with 50I50 and Susan Scott is an award-winning filmmaker.
Their efforts to uncover the truth behind the rhino war horn has paid off. The documentary has won at least 10 awards which include, Best Documentary award at the prestigious San Diego Internation Film festival.
Bonné and Susan accepted the award from Kyle Tekiela, who presented the award with the following thought," “documentaries tell stories that bring big issues to light and the jury felt this was one of the biggest of them all, that poignantly conveys the struggle the world’s rhinos are having to remain alive for the next decade.”
