Somizi and Mohale cancel Italian wedding

The jaw-dropping spectacles that have been the hallmark of the previous two unions of celebrity couple Somizi and Mohale had set the bar pretty high for the couple who were planning on a third union in Italy.

This one was going to pull out all the stops and it would no doubt have been filmed by Showmax, whose exclusive four-part series Somizi and Mohale: The Union has been breaking viewership records on the streaming service.

However, plans for a third wedding have been scuppered by the outbreak of the coronavirus, as Italy has been particularly hard hit. As published by Aljazeera on their website just 14 hours ago, “Italy reported 41 new deaths from coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 148, the second-highest outside of China, where just over 3,000 people have died since the outbreak began in December.”

The news service went on to report that the virus has reached all 22 regions of Italy, and “prompted Rome to take unprecedented measures, including suspending all schools and universities and unveiling an $8.4-billion rescue plan.”

These alarming statistics have forced the cancellation of the Italian union of the couple who have now said that they will find a new venue but will be insisting that all the guests wear Louis Vuitton masks. Yes, there is such a thing as. Louis Vuitton mask, it sells for $85 which at the current exchange rate means that it will cost South Africans R1 333 53. Somizi posted the news of the cancellation on both Instagram and Twitter.
