The popular Japanese seinen manga, Ghost in a Shell, created by Masamune Shirow first hit screens in 1995 in the form of an anime with the same title, Ghost in a Shell. The story line follows the hunt by a public security angency Section 9 for a mysterious hacker known as the Puppet Master.
Even though more anime's, films and a game was created, this time round a plethora of production companies, Paramour Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, Reliance Entertainment, Amblin Partners and Arad Procductions have aligned to bring Jonathan Herman and Jamie Moss' creation to life.
Directed by Rupert Sanders and Staring Scarlett Johansson, the movie is set to be released round about March 2017.
