The 64-year-old former wife of Britain’s Prince Andrew has been diagnosed with skin cancer.
The news comes just months after the Duchess of York underwent a mastectomy for breast cancer.
A spokesperson said in a statement that she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and has had several moles removed and analyzed, one of which was cancerous.
She will be undergoing further investigations to ensure that the cancer has been caught in the early stages.
Meanwhile, 75-year-old King Charles, 75, will undergo a "corrective procedure" for an enlarged prostate this week as Catherine, wife of Charles' heir Prince William, recovers in hospital after undergoing successful planned abdominal surgery.
