The luxury brand is joining a host of other fashion houses in announcing that they will be going fur-free with their next collection due out in 2022.
The iconic brand has committed to making its entire new line free of real fur. It is just one of many luxury brands to ditch using real fur after years of animal rights protests against the practice.
Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Bottega Veneta are some of the other luxury labels doing the right thing in the face of growing global criticism.
Another Kering brand, Brioni, will also be fur-free by the autumn 2022 collections, the firm said.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) welcomed the move after what it called a "decades-long" push to get Kering to ban the use of fur.
"Nobody with a heart will wear fur. No designer with any sense will touch it. Any fashion house still selling it in 2021 is an embarrassment," Peta said in a statement.
The animal rights organization took to Twitter to celebrate the good news.

This HUGE VICTORY comes after a long & hard campaign by PETA entities, letters from more than 100K of our supporters this year to its parent company @KeringGroup, activist protests outside Saint Laurent stores around the world, & much more. pic.twitter.com/cH60fWif5L
