The series will join 22 North American and 50 world films at the Oscar-qualifying Pan African Film & Arts Festiva screening as a feature film.
The 31st Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival runs from February 9-20, at the Cinemark Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza 15 and XD and Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza on LA and is one of the largest and most prestigious black film festivals in the US attracting local, national, and international audiences.
Starring Mzansi’s Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, Four Walls is co-directed by local creators Juvai? Dunn, Menzi Mzimela, and Kgosana Monchusi, and is a stark representation of the scourge of gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa.
Mlotshwa takes on the challenging role of Grace, a well-educated woman who finds herself trapped in an abusive marriage.
Four Walls will be screened on Friday, February 17 .
