According to the British press the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still making up their minds about whether to put in an appearance at King Charles’ coronation on May 6.

Sources suggest that the controversial couple have been put on the guest list for the historic event, but their decision will depend on whether the King and Prince William agree to a “family meeting” before the occasion to set some boundaries.

The Daily Mail reports that if they do decide to travel from their home in Montecito, California, to attend the event at Westminster Abbey,” they will do so as normal congregation members.”

This might not be to the liking of the couple who, despite constantly expressing their desire for a life away from the paparazzi, are ironically always seeking the limelight.

Rumour has it that RSVPs need to be in by the start of April.

The coronation of Charles III and his wife Camilla as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 May, at Westminster Abbey.

A coronation is both the symbolic religious ceremony during which a sovereign is crowned and the physical act of placing a crown on a monarch's head. It formalizes the monarch's role as the head of the Church of England and marks the transfer of their title and powers.

Monday 8 May has been declared a bank holiday across the UK in celebration.
