The plot line is an age-old one but one which, if well executed, works every time. Here goes: Small town girl moves to the big city where there are many obstacles that she must overcome to make her dream of starring in a musical come true.
The musical in more detail tells the story of Khanyisile Khumalo, played by Gugu Zulu of Idols SA fame, who travels from the rural village of Nongoma, Kwa-Zulu Natal to the city of gold, Johannesburg to audition for a musical show.
