According to Sowetan Live, the Qwabew twins, Viggy and Virginia, have turned down an invitation to attend the SA Idols finale next week.
The drama all started when Virginia was eliminated from the competition, this was then followed by the exit of her twin Viggy the next day. While there were no clear reasons given for this, Laurence Qwabe, the twins' father, claimed that the votes in the competition were rigged.
Following on their tension-filled exit from the competition, Qwabe, who is also the twins’ spokesperson, told the press that the decision not to participate in the finale was made by both the family and the twins' fans.
No reason was given for the decision.
The Idols SA finale will take place on Sunday November 17 at the State Theatre in Pretoria.
Judging from their Twitter account, the Qwabe family is clearly moving on.
