The multi-talented Queen Latifah will be honoured with an Entertainment Icon award at the upcoming American Black Film Festival Honors, presented by BET.
The Oscar-nominated actress said she was honoured to be receiving the award.
"It means so much to me coming from fellow entertainers and my peers".
The ceremony will be hosted by Regina Hall and will celebrate other iconic artists, including Denzel Washington, Issa Rae, Terrence Howard and F. Gary Gray. Special appearances will be made by young Hollywood stars, including Jay Ellis, Kofi Siriboe, Alexandra Shipp and Kylie Bunbury.
