The first ever resident of Hï Ibiza (the club formerly known as Space) has been revealed and the title’s been taken by superstar South African, Black Coffee.
The brand new state of the art superclub in Playa d’en Bossa will open its doors for the very first time in May, and hot on its heels making his White Isle residency debut will be Black Coffee, who’ll be sliding into the Saturday slot every week from 3 June to 30 September.
Last year was a monumental one for the deep house don, who picked up the award for Best Deep House DJ at the Ibiza-based DJ Awards, and in 2017 he’s already off to a flyer, having secured one of the hottest residency tickets on the island and continuing to broaden horizons for all South African emerging artists who follow in his wake. He had this to say about his upcoming summer on Ibiza:
“Since the start of my career, I’ve been driven by the desire to share my taste in music and expose the world to the beauty of South African dance music… I believe that Hï Ibiza is the perfect place to do that. I regard Ibiza as the capital of the dance music world and I'm truly honoured to be part of the continuing legacy of the island.”
