Port Elizabeth born international superstar Belinda Davids was last week awarded the International Special Recognition Award at the UK’s National Tribute Music Awards .
The star studded event held in Droitwich, UK, saw her receive the award for her “global contribution to tribute performing” and “ground-breaking influence on the music industry”.
Davids has earned global recognition through world wide tours of her showstopping tribute act, The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston.
Good news for South African fans is that Computicket has just announced that she is bringing her tribute show back to South Africa in November of this year. However, a visit to her hometown does not seem to be on the cards.
Davids took to social media to express her joy at being acknowledged by the UK music industry.
Congrats Belinda!
