Oprah Winfrey, who has featured Morrison's novels in her book club such as "Song of Solomon" and "Paradise" will be presenting her with the award.
According to The Center for Fiction, Nobel laureate Toni Morrison will be receiving a lifetime achievement honour for "Excellence in Fiction."

The Center for Fiction is a non-profit organisation with a mission to "encourage people to read and value fiction."
Morrison holds a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work and Fiction, Glamour Lifetime Achievement Award and a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children, to name a few.
The awards dinner ceremony will be held on December 11.
