Former NBA player and basketball legend, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna died on Sunday morning following a helicopter crash.
The father-daughter duo were travelling to Kobe's basketball academy, where Gianna was due to play a game, when the helicopter they were travelling on crashed in the Calabasas hills of California.
It has been confirmed that 8 passengers have died in the crash including college baseball coach, John Altobelli, his wife Keri Altobelli and their 13 year old daughter Alyssa.
Tributes have poured in for the victims involved in the crash from all over the world, including Kobe's former teammates and close friends.
Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.
