Nathan Sykes unlocks new talents as a solo artist

Singer Nathan Sykes has finally found out who he is as an artist, after five years of being in The Wanted. The 23-year-old popstar and his bandmates went on hiatus in 2014, leaving his schedule free to pursue a solo career. With his debut album, Unfinished Business, slated for release on 4 November (16) Nathan is thrilled to be able to channel his own emotions through his new material.?I think it shows a lot of different sides of me,? he told Gay Times magazine.

?I?ve really gotten to find out who I am as an artist, which is a strange thing to ask yourself after you?ve been making music for five years with a band. I got to find out who I am as a songwriter and as a vocalist and it?s been an amazing process.?Earlier this year (16) Nathan released a steamy video for his track Give It Up, showing him frolicking with a beautiful brunette in everywhere from a bed to a bar.

He found some of the reactions to the sexy project amusing, as many were surprised by how much of a ?dark horse? he is.?It was quite funny, especially with some of them saying, ?I think I need to clear my Internet history after watching this video.? It?s great for my ego,? he chuckled. His talents have seen him collaborate with a host of big names, including his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor and Jessie J.

There?s still a few people he?s hoping to team up with in the future though, such as Stevie Wonder, who he crossed paths with at the Billboard Awards in 2012. ?He?s an absolute gent and an incredible musician,? Nathan gushed. ?I remember it being a really intense day, then out of nowhere I met Usher and Stevie Wonder within about five minutes. I was like, ?Oh my God, what just happened???
