The annual Forbes list of top selling dead celebs for 2018 is out and it has placed Michael Jackson at the top by a massive £282m. Michael tops the list for the 6th year in a row after dying in 2009 of an overdose.
The annual list measures pre-tax earnings from 1 October 2017 to 1 October 2018 before fees for agents, managers, lawyers and estate executors are deducted.

2. Elvis Presley
The rock and roll legend comes in in second place having made over £31m from music sales, tickets to Graceland and a new entertainment complex called Elvis Presley's Memphis. He died in 1977 at the age of 42.
3. Arnold Palmer
This champion golfer, affectionately known as the King, made £27m from his golf courses and other enterprises such as a soft drink called the Arnold Palmer. He died in 2016.aged 87.
4. Charles Schulz
The American cartoonist died of colon cancer in 2000 aged 77 and his original strips have been printed ever since his death, earning him £26m this year alone.
5. Bob Marley
The Jamaican singer-songwriter earned £18m this year. His death from skin cancer at the age of 36 in 1981 was the catalyst for a huge Bob Marley merchandising industry.
6. Dr Seuss
The much-loved author and artist know for many a wacky children's book, earned £12m this year. He died of oral cancer in 1991 aged 87.
7. Hugh Hefner
The ‘Peter Pan’ of the porn industry, Hugh Hefner, made £11.7m this year from his various publications, books and merchandise. The Hef died at the age of 91 from sepsis.
8. Marilyn Monroe
Her image on merchandise continues to be a thriving industry and the deceased sex bomb earned £11m this year thanks to several new deals, including one with Montblanc pens. She died in 1962 of an overdose which was eventually ruled as probable suicide.
9. Prince
Dying tragically of an accidental overdose at the age of 57, Prince earned £10m this year.
10. John Lennon
As a member of the legendary Beatles group, Lennon was gunned down in New York City 38 years ago, This year he earned £9m this year making him the tenth highest earning dead celebrity on the Forbes list.
