Media mogul and author, Basetsana Kumalo, is celebrating yet another milestone in a career that has seen her battle many trials and tribulations along the way.
Her memoir, Bassie: My Journey of Hope, has been officially announced as the second best selling book in South Africa - Michelle’s Obama’s Becoming, is currently in first place.
Kumalo took to Instagram to thank her fellow countrymen for their love and support of her book saying: “Here’s a story I wanted to share with you when your publisher who published Michelle Obama’s book sends you an email and says the book is doing great.
“I just started crying, and really crying tears of gratitude because all I did was just write my story, write my truth.”
“Thank you to every one of you who read the book, who given your reviews and those who’ve taken their time and money to go out there and support Basetsana Kumalo. I don’t take that for granted, may you be blessed a hundred folds.”
Bassie: My Journey of Hope has been in print for just over a year now. It is available to purchase online and at all bookstores countrywide. Congrats Basetsana!
