The long-awaited fifteenth season of MasterChef Australia will premiere on M-Net (DStv 101) this Friday, 30 June, at 18:00.
The release date had been pushed back following the untimely death of judge Jock Zonfillo at the age of 46 on Sunday, 30 April, in Melbourne.
In confirming the new date M-Net says that Season 15 will introduce a brand-new batch of 18 culinary hopefuls, all vying for the coveted title of Australia's MasterChef and the grand prize of $250 000 (R3,135,899.79)
“ The series promises to be an absolute food-filled feast, packed with multiple competitive challenges, twists and turns, and other scrumptious surprises”.
Professional chefs and judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and the late Jock Zonfrillo, return with their legendary culinary expertise to taste and deliver honest criticism.
According to M-Net, “Viewers can look forward to a host of hot guest judges, including the likes of The Ritz-Carlton's perky pastry chef Kay-Lene Tan, Australia's homegrown superstar Curtis Stone, iconic chef Luke Nguyen and Australia's most beloved food icon, Maggie Beer – among others.”
