The septuagenarian showed off an enviably buffed body as he took to the stage in Scarborough Sunday for the beginning of his My Songs World Tour , treating his fans to an energetic performance that proved age is but a number.
Wearing a tight grey t-shirt and white jeans, and sporting highlighted spiky locks, Sting’s rock-hard abs and svelte physique indicate that whatever regimen he is on, it is working.
According to Daily Mail the 17-time Grammy winner credits his amazing shape to his “macrobiotic diet, which consists of a lot of vegetables and grains, and aims to avoid toxins and processed food that contain preservatives. The diet also centers around low consumption of meat, dairy, and sugar”.
Sting and his wife Trudie Styler live on a farm in Wiltshire and have a self-sufficient diet, growing organic veggies and owning a flock of free-range chickens.
Daily Mail goes on to say that the couple has adopted a “conscious approach to eating, and believe that the way 'we treat our own bodies is by extension the way we treat the planet.” Sting is also a great believer in regular yoga sessions to stay supple and toned.
Here's a taste of what fans will be treated to on his tour by Sting himself.
