Marvel creative giant, Stan Lee, has died at 95

Lee’s daughter, J.C. Lee has confirmed to the media that her father, Marvel Comics co-creator, Stan Lee, has passed away at the age of 95. And what a life it was for this creative genius.

He was responsible for some of the most popular superhero characters of our time including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X Men and Iron Man. His legacy will live on in so many movies that cut across generations and have incredible mass appeal.

Actors who portrayed his superheroes have been posting heartfelt tributes on social media. Wolverine actor, Hugh Jackman, said in his post that the world had lost a ‘creative genius’.

It was back in the 19670’s that Stan Lee, a writer and editor at the time, worked with artists to turn Marvel into a major comic book brand.   It has indeed stood the test of time.

The son of Jewish immigrants from Romania, Lee was born Stanley Martin Lieber in New York in December 1922,
When he was 17 he became an errand boy at Timely Comics, which was to eventually become Marvel. It was at this time that he began to writing. As the saying goes, it is not where you start, but where you finish.

As Chris Evans tweeted, "There will never be another Stan Lee."
May you RIP Stan Lee.
