South Africa's local version of hit US reality show, Married at First Sight will be hitting our screens soon. The show is being locally produced by Oxyg3n Media and was highly commissioned for channel, Lifetime Africa.
The show follows singles who are looking for love and trust in specialist experts to find their perfect partner - the couples then meet and get married on the spot.
After the wedding, the couple is documented from the honeymoon, moving in together and living as a married couple for six weeks. When the six weeks has passed, the couple has to decide whether they want to stay together or divorce.
The team of specialist experts include:
Neo Tshireletso Pule - a counselling psychologist
Dr Shingai Mutambirwa - a well known sex health specialist
Anna Trapido - anthropological advisor
Paula Quinsee – relationship expert
Winnie Kunene - financial coach
Married at First Sight South Africa will premiere on DStv channel Lifetime Africa (131) on 3 February at 20h50, with Sam Cowen as the series facilitator.
