Mark Ronson 'beyond gutted' by gig cancellation

Mark Ronson is "beyond gutted" he had to cancel a DJ gig in Hong Kong due to visa issues. The Uptown Funk hitmaker was due to perform a special set at Levels nightclub in the Chinese city on Thursday 18 August, and he couldn't hide his excitement about the show when he promoted it multiple times on Twitter. However, just hours before the event was due to begin, Mark revealed he had suffered visa problems and would no longer be able to play.

"DEAR HONG KONG. I'm so so INCREDIBLY disappointed to say that I can't DJ @ LEVELS tonight due to visa issues completely out of my control," he tweeted. "I was so incredibly looking forward to DJing. It was going to be my very first club gig in HK & I?m so bummed out that the gig can't go on."

He continued by telling fans he tried everything he could to fix the problem but has been told it's out of his hands. He sent his regrets to ticket holders and added, "I'm beyond gutted." The mega producer has been touring festivals worldwide and recently performed in Singapore, Bali and Indonesia, although it isn't clear what country he was flying from. He is set to play the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan over the weekend. Mark has recently been working with Lady Gaga on her new album, and their first collaboration from the record, single Perfect Illusion, was announced on Wednesday. T

he song, produced by Mark and Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, is due to be released in September. "The song is about modern ecstasy....We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it," Gaga told iHeartRadio's Music Summit in New York on Wednesday. "I get this sick adrenaline rush every time I hear it."
