The 63-year-old Capetonian-born, Hollywood Foreign Press Association member and Golden Globes Fashion Editor, is living life to the full by "being herself and being healthy and living an active lifestyle."
A passionate advocate of healthy aging and fitness for decades, Gardiner firmly believes that older women do not have to succumb to the stereotype of the dreaded flabby arms and can maintain a strong, toned physique regardless of age.
While many women may shy away from strength training for fear of bulking up or becoming too muscular, Gardiner stresses that this is a myth. Women typically do not have enough testosterone to build large, bulky muscles like men.
In addition to strength training, Gardiner uses her social media platforms to encourage the importance of cardiovascular exercise.
