The Queen of Pop, 62-year-old Madonna, and the iconic Levi brand have paid tribute to model and singer Nick Kamen following his death at the age of 59.
The English male model, songwriter, and musician, best known for the 1986 single Each Time You Break My Heart and I Promised Myself from 1990, also found fame for appearing in a 1985 Levi advert which shows him stripping off in a launderette to wash his Levi jeans. The advert was to become one of the most iconic adverts of all time and was elected for, and came fourth in, The 100 Greatest TV Ads in 2000.
Kamen was also regarded as one of Madonna’s protégès. Paying tribute on Twitter Madonna said, "You were always such a kind and sweet human and you suffered too much."
It breaks my heart to know you are gone. You were always such a kind sweet human and you suffered too much. Hope you are happier wherever you are Nick Kamen. ???????? pic.twitter.com/Cfk8vkM1Je
