The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office released their toxicology report yesterday into the death of rapper Mac Miller. According to the report, Miller died due to accidental “mixed drug toxicity".
The 26-year-old American rapper was found dead at his house in Studio City, California on 7 September. He had a long history of substance abuse and his music often examined his depression and drug use. Miller performed in South Africa back in 2016 at the Rocking the Daisies music festival.
A tribute concert was held for him last week with some big names in the business like Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott and John Mayer. The concert launched the Mac Miller Circles Fund in honour of the star and raised money for arts education in underprivileged communities.
