Meet the Kannemeyers, the Bay family from Parkridge, appearing on this weekend’s 12 September episode of the hugely popular South African version of the American game show Family Feud.
Hosted by entertainer, businessman, and philanthropist Steve Harvey, the game show calls on two families in each episode to compete in naming the most popular responses to gathered survey questions in order to win cash and prizes.
Taking on the Pienaar family from Cape Town are our Algoa Country locals consisting of Dexter (team captain), Lineque, Lisa, Robyn, and Luke Kannemeyer. (Pictured below left to right)
Team leader Dexter says that initially they had entered as a joke but were ''thrilled" when they heard they had been selected and felt “it would be great to do something memorable as a family.”
Dexter says of the experience, “We learned so much, the main thing was working as a team and tolerating the different personalities in a game show like Family feud. Hahaha, we even had an argument right up until we went on set. We definitely learned to get to know one another even better even after knowing each other since forever. Definitely have a stronger bond now”.
“We hope we will have the support of our city behind us as we go head to head with the Pienaar family from Cape Town.”
