Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex have announced a multi-year partnership with Spotify to produce and host podcasts that will bring to light different perspectives and give a voice to those who have hitherto not been given an opportunity to have their stories heard.
This follows on the news earlier in the year that they had signed a multi-million rand deal with Netflix to produce documentaries and lifestyle series for the streaming giant,
This venture will operate under the name Archewell Audio, their exclusive deal will see them produce programming that they hope will uplift and at the same entertains audiences around the world.
The couple said in a statement, “What we love about podcasting is that it reminds us all to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction.
“With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other’s stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”
Spotify has also announced that Archewell Audio, will release a holiday special hosted by the couple “that will feature stories of hope and compassion from inspirational guests in celebration of the new year”.
