Lindsay Lohan's mum's relief at split from 'abusive' fiance

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina can "sleep at night" now her daughter has split from fiance Egor Tarabasov.The Mean Girls star became estranged from her Russian partner in July (16) after she accused him of cheating on her during a night out. They then became engaged in a heated argument at her London pad, where she was caught on camera standing on her balcony, yelling for her neighbours to call the police amid claims Egor had tried to strangle her.

Following the incident, for which Egor was not arrested or charged, Lindsay subsequently claimed it was not the first time he had reportedly been violent towards her.Now her mother Dina has revealed how thrilled she is Lindsay called time on the allegedly abusive relationship."In this instance, (I'm) very happy. I can sleep at night," she told E! News. "He was just very young and it just wasn't working out. It got to the point where it was abusive.

And I'm a victim of domestic abuse and it's hard."I never thought in a million years my daughter would have to experience that, but she did, and fortunately she's out and happy and done with it."Dina doesn't hold a grudge against Egor though, adding to the outlet: "I wish him well and I hope he gets help because he was a nice man."Lindsay previously revealed she feared Egor would throw acid in her face on the night he allegedly attacked her in her London home.

The actress is now attempting to move on from the relationship and rebuild her life, with Dina admitting she just wants to see her daughter achieve her dream of becoming a mother and having her own family. "She just wants to have babies and settle down," Dina smiled. "She's like 30 which makes me 130."
