After learning that Lady Gaga was the curator of a massive online concert in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, I paid a quick visit to the Global Citizen website, the official hosts of the event, to find out more.
What I found was a jaw-dropping lineup of entertainers and artists from all over the globe set to take part in a ten-hour online concert on the 18th April – the title - One World: Together At Home.
As was stated on the website: “ One World: Together at Home is a series of virtual, no-contact concerts to inspire us all to stay inside and take action. We want you to be a part of this movement -- join us in supporting the World Health Organization’s rapid response to coronavirus”.
Take a look at the list of artists who have pledged their support! Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah Winfrey, Usher, Ellen DeGeneres, Pharrell Williams, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Amy Poehler, Celine Dion, Awkwafina, and Alicia Keys. They will join Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, Elton John, Idris and Sabrina Elba, John Legend, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lizzo, Andrea Bocelli, Kacey Musgraves, and Chris Martin.
It does not end there - also making an appearance will be Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Annie Lennox, Ben Platt, Billy Ray Cyrus, Charlie Puth, Christine and the Queens, Common, Don Cheadle, Ellie Goulding, Heidi Klum, Hozier, Jack Black, Jameela Jamil, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Kesha, Lady Antebellum, Leslie Odom Jr., Liam Payne, Maren Morris, Matt Bomer, Megan Rapinoe, Niall Horan, Rita Ora, Samuel L. Jackson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sheryl Crow, the Killers, and Tim Gunn, among others.
And according to their latest Twitter post, look who else is on board......
