Khloe Kardashian and her half-siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner have all cancelled publicity events for their upcoming books in the wake of sister Kim Kardashian's terrifying Paris holdup.Khloe had been set to start promotional duties for the paperback release of Strong Looks Better Naked, her New York Times bestseller, which hits retailers on 18 October (16), while Kylie and Kendall had been due to start publicising the 15 November (16) release of their second novel, Time of the Twins: The Story of Lex and Livia.
The Jenner sisters' book is a follow-up to their widely-panned 2014 young adult tale, Rebels: City of Indra, the Story of Lex and Livia. Sources confirm to Entertainment Tonight that "safety reasons" are behind the cancellations. The family members have also put filming of their hit reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians on an indefinite hold.A spokesperson for broadcasting network E! released a statement on Thursday (06Oct16) confirming the news."Kim's well-being is our core focus right now," the rep said.
"No decision has been made as to when production will resume."The entire family has essentially withdrawn from the public eye and social media in the wake of the armed robbery, which took place early on Monday (03Oct16), while Kim was in her private hotel suite in the French capital. They have all rallied around Kim, who was left "badly shaken" by the ordeal, during which she was bound, gagged and held at gunpoint as thieves grabbed jewellery and cellphones from her possession. She has also pulled out of a number of business commitments, including a make-up class appearance in Dubai, which was scheduled for next week (14Oct16)."She needs a break from everything," a source close to Kim explains. "Working and posting anything on social media is the last thing on her mind right now."
