Khanyi Mbau has won her first acting accolade in the form of the best actress award at the inaugural South African International Film Academy Awards, which took place at Gold Reef City in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Unfortunately, she was not there to accept the award as she was attending the rather sumptuous wedding of Somizi and Mohale. However, she was alerted to the good news by celebrated actor Dr John Kani who was at the ceremony and tweeted: "Last night I attended the Inaugural South African International Film Academy Awards. The house was sad that you were not present to accept the Best Actress Award in a motion picture. Congratulations."
Khanyi was quick to retweet and reply.
