Kenya Moore introduces her 'miracle baby' for the first time

The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore has become a first time mom at the age of 47.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Moore details her struggles with pregnancy and failed relationships. She said she has been yearning to start a family of her own and finally met someone who shared the same sentiments.

“You can be surrounded by people but if you don’t have what you’ve longed for your whole life — and in my case, that’s a family — you just feel lonely."

She met her restaurateur husband Marc Daly in 2016 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony the next year. The couple wanted to start a family soon after.

“We both want to start a family and soon — like, right away.”

Moore, who conceived through in vitro fertilisation, announced her pregnancy in March this year while filming season 10 of RHOA. Her pregnancy was high risk, and she experienced scares such as a false pregnancy to her ultrasound not showing the baby's skeleton. She was later diagnosed with preeclampsia - a condition which can lead to serious, even fatal, complications for both mother and baby.

Moore delivered her daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly through an emergency c-section, which lasted for three hours. She had to be cut horizontally and vertically due to fibroids in the way.
