Kelly Khumalo the target of angry EFF supporters

Singer and actress Kelly Khumalo has raised the ire of EFF supporters following a television interview in which she was asked about cutting short her performance at a KwaZulu Natal EFF rally after only two songs amid chants of "Senzo" from the crowd.

The interview happened on SABC3’s Trending SA, and in response to the question, Kelly held nothing back, telling Musa Mthombeni and Kuli Roberts, that she had no regrets about having cut her performance short. She went on to say, “You can say whatever you want to say to me but there's that energy that says we’re all about war, and you feel it with those people, I felt that and I was like ‘this is not my place’, I kept saying to my DJ ‘this is not my place’. I stand for the light, I stand for kindness, I stand for love."

As was to be expected her comments have not gone down well among EFF supporters who took to social media to express their disgust with Khumalo.

One such Twitter user Xabiso Mtwana tweeted that she "must not start something she won't finish" and called her an "ungrateful bastard". It was not long before the former police commissioner Fikile Mbabula joined the twitter war. as well.

To which Julius Maleme, the EFF's Commander in Chief responded, "Too Much Sis ".
