Kate Hudson's annual Halloween party has become a staple on big names' spooky celebration circuit, and this year's event was no exception.The party, held on Friday (28Oct16) at Hudson's Brentwood, Los Angeles home attracted lots of big names including the two presidential candidates, or their dopplegangers at least. Roar hitmaker Katy Perry dressed up as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton while her boyfriend of nine months, Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom dressed as Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Katy spent hours in the makeup chair, and sported a cropped blonde wig, a bright red pantsuit and even facial prosthetics which made her totally unrecognisable as herself. ?I don?t play games on Halloween,? she captioned one pre-event photo on Instagram. On another, she joked, ?Having a little pre party before I take office #IMWITHME Cheer to @svedkavodka #howtosvedka @hillaryclinton." She even acted like Hillary when she arrived at the party, waving to the paparazzi photographers stationed outside.Once inside, she held hands with her "husband", Bill Clinton, or rather someone playing him.
Though party guests initially thought it was Bloom in disguise, it was actually someone else - Katy's friend Michael Kives. Bloom wore a suitably outlandish orange wig, a red Make America Great Again baseball cap and a pair of cartoon hands, a nod to jokes about Trump's small hands. The threesome was accompanied by friends who dressed as secret service agents.The hostess herself seemed to have stepped right out of the Old West, dressed in a white corset gown with feather head piece. Kate posted a photo of herself and some similarly dressed girlfriends on Instagram with the caption: ?It?s time to party! Other famous guests included Honest Company boss and Mechanic: Resurrection star Jessica Alba and her best friend Kelly Sawyer who dressed as party-loving TV and movie duo Edina and Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous. Alba captioned a photo of the pair, with Sawyer swigging from a champagne bottle, ?#ABFAB w my boo @kellysawyer #patsyandedina #bff #Halloween."Also in attendance was designer and author Nicole Richie who was part of a threesome depicting famous former Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried and Roy, complete with a pretend white tiger. ?Happy Halloween from Siegfried & Roy,? she wrote on Instagram.
Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted too, with DiCaprio sporting a werewolf mask, and Maguire in a simple black shirt and L.A. Dodgers hat.Kate obviously remains on great terms with her ex, and father of her five-year-old son Bingham, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy who was there too, with his model and actress girlfriend Elle Evans. The pair was dressed as zombie versions of Danny and Sandy from hit musical Grease. Meanwhile, Mexican actress Salma Hayek and her French fashion executive husband Francois-Henri Pinault seemed to have dressed more simply, as themselves.
