Halle Berry is in a "really good place" a year after announcing her split from third husband Olivier Martinez.The Oscar winner, who turned 50 in August (16), is famously unlucky in love and has endured some tough times in her past, but now she is facing the future with hope.During a chat with U.S. news show Extra, the stunning X-Men star revealed she has finally moved past the sadness and is feeling positive about both her personal and professional life."I just feel happy, you know?" she smiled to interviewer Terri Seymour."

Down time, dark times, don't last forever - the sun is out again and it feels great."Martinez was Berry's third husband, and is the father of her three-year-old son Maceo. The couple has yet to finalise its divorce, but the stars proved they remain on good terms in March (16), when they reunited for a family vacation, during which they were also joined by her eight-year-old daughter Nahla, from her previous relationship with French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry.She was also previously married to baseball star David Justice and singer-songwriter Eric Benet.Meanwhile, Halle reveals she marked her recent milestone birthday with a low-key celebration.
"(I celebrated) privately. It was very small," she said. "I've never had a birthday party, so it wasn't a big extravaganza; it's not how I do it. I was with my family, people I loved, it was a really good day. I've never defined myself by that number, so it was a really good day."Halle's career is also going strong. She is set to star in the sequel to 2014's blockbuster Kingsman: The Secret Service, and recently appeared in friend Kevin Hart's comedy documentary, Kevin Hart: What Now?.
She also supported him when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this month (Oct16). "I love that man!" she raved to Extra. "So much fun. So much fun. (The documentary) was a chance to sort of play with comedy a little bit. Who better to do that with than Kevin Hart, right?"
